2009 Spring Seminar

Using Cell Phones in Your Investigation, Explosive Awareness and Utilizing NICB as an Investigative Tool

May 20-21. 2009 (8am - 4:30pm) At the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center 2200 Scott Wheeler Drive Marriottsville, Maryland

TWO-DAY SEMINAR COST: MFEI-IAAI Members: Free Non-Members: $50

Day 1: Sergeant Justin Baker of the Howard County Police Department will include the topics of analyzing cell phone records, cell tower plotting, court orders and subpoenas. A copy of Microsoft Streets and trips will be provided to a representative from each department.

Day 2: Members of Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office will provide basic Explosive Awareness for investigators at the first responder level. The afternoon session will consist of instruction on using NICB records as an investigative tool.

Coffee and a continental breakfast will be served each morning between 8 and 8:30. Lunch will be on your own.

A written test will be given at the conclusion of the seminar for those wishing to receive CEU credit towards Certified Fire Investigator.
